The growth in my career expands every single day that I practice as a Speech Therapist. I am a kind, compassionate and dedicated person who absolutely loves interacting with both adults and children. When I am not working, you will find me outdoors playing in the sunshine. My motto in speech therapy is that therapy should always be extra fun and enjoyable and at the same time comfortable and purposeful. In a nutshell, I completed by Degree at the University of Cape Town and shortly after qualifying, I worked at Khayelitsha Hospital as part of my community service year, where I discovered my passion for working with children. This led to me venturing into a permanent position at a special needs school where I have worked for the past 4 years. Over the past 6 years, I have gained an abundance of experience as a Speech Therapist in the Western Cape public sector, both in Health Care and Education. At the beginning of 2021, I started exploring the private sector, working part-time every Friday afternoon. I have now advanced to practising full-time privately at my own company in Sea Point.
